As I posted recently on the warseer forums, I have decided to sell off some of my pile of gaming stuff that is not used as much as others are.

As you can see from the pictures, packed into the 1st edition box of Space Hulk is not only the 1st edition components, but also the 2nd edition components, along with the two expansions for the 1st edition of Deathwing and Genestealer. There are no miniatures, and from the weight you need to be aware that it will be expensive to ship overseas. Pickup can be arranged from Sydney, or shipped if you so desire. The pieces are all in very good condition.

Make a reasonable offer.

I got to look through the shiny new book at the store recently (yay for previews) but the first thing I noticed was that the cover is already coming off. Not good. I think I will photocopy the rules and use them to protect my book from unnecessary flipping.

I noticed auspex were gone. shame, I really liked the cheap price and the fact it kept infiltrators well away from my squads. Hellfire rounds for characters is nice, my fave is the aux grenade launcher. That weapon would be an excellent addition to a terminator captain. In fact, I have an old termie capt. with one mounted on the back of a power fist… Perhaps some conversions of twin lightning claws and an aux grenade launcher for my captain are in order…

So there is no upgrade for sergeants to veteran as they are considered vets already. Fine. No real choice wargear wise for them is a shame.

But I do like the idea behind special characters and the fact that white dwarf may get more of them in the future to give other chapters their own special rules…. (and it makes it dead easy long term too)

A little rumour has been going around about the new 5th edition of Warhammer 40k’s starter set. Aside from the normal ork and space marine models, there are little birdies talking about a 5 man squad of terminators coming with the set.

Cheap terminators? Excellent! True, they will be storm bolter and power fist only, but that is no different to the 1st edition of space hulk, so I may be getting some from the bitz dealers online! A bit of chopping and conversion and the heavy weapons options should pose no problem.

The other bonus is the new space marine codex will herald a new recut space marine sprue with older models of power armour. (or so the rumours go)

Could be a bit of a nice year for my marine armies!
